Can I install an EV charger in my condo parkade?
Yes. Under BC's Strata Property Act, you have the right to request a charger at your assigned stall. Your strata council can't turn you down without a valid reason. We handle all the paperwork so they have everything they need to approve it.
Do I need strata council approval before installing a charger?
Yes. You need to send a written request before anything starts. We put together the full package for your council, including load calculations, equipment specs, and the installation plan, so they have everything in front of them and can approve it without going back and forth.
How is the electricity billed when charging in a shared parkade?
We put a sub-meter on your circuit so your electricity use is tracked separately and billed to your unit, not the building. You pay for what you use and nothing else. Most strata councils require this, so we include it as a standard part of the job.
How long does a condo EV charger installation take?
Usually one to two days. It depends mostly on how far your stall is from the electrical room and how the conduit needs to run. We give you a clear timeline before we start and work with your building manager so it doesn't get in anyone's way.
Does the parkade's electrical panel have enough capacity?
We check that during our free site visit. Most parkades have enough room to add EV circuits without a big upgrade. If yours needs extra work, we'll tell you exactly what and give you a fixed price for all of it upfront.
What EV charger brands do you install in condo buildings?

Will the installation damage common property?
We're careful with the building. We plan conduit runs to keep holes to a minimum, clean up after ourselves, and put back anything we disturb. Everything gets documented so your strata has a full record of the work.
What if my stall is far from the electrical room?
We do long runs all the time. We map out the best path through common areas, make sure the wiring is sized right for the distance, and include it all in your fixed price. No surprises when we show up.
