Everything you need to know before booking your installation. Straight answers, no fluff.
Do I need strata approval to install an EV charger in my townhouse?
Usually yes, but we take care of all of it. We put together the full approval package for your strata council, including the drawings and permit paperwork. Most councils say yes pretty quickly when everything is in order.
Can my townhouse electrical panel handle a Level 2 charger?
Most of the time, yes. We check your panel during our free site visit. If it needs an upgrade, we'll tell you before anything gets started, with a clear price attached.
How long does the installation take?
Most townhouse installs take one day. We run the circuit from your panel to your stall, mount the charger, test everything, and show you how it all works before we head out.
What Level 2 charger brands do you install?
We work with all the main brands: ChargePoint, Flo, Wallbox, JuiceBox, and Emporia. If you've already bought one, we can install that too. We'll help you pick the right fit during our site visit.
Will my neighbours see the wiring or will it look messy?
No. All the wiring runs through conduit and inside walls where we can. It'll look clean and tidy when we're done. No loose cables, nothing your strata council will have a problem with.
What happens if I sell my townhouse?
It actually works in your favour. We give you all the permit documents and inspection certificates, so the new owners have everything they need. A lot of buyers now specifically look for homes with a charger already in.
Can multiple townhouse units share one charger installation?
Each unit really should have its own charger and circuit so there's no confusion over who's using what. That said, if your strata wants to do a multi-unit installation, we can handle the whole thing and offer group pricing.
What if my parking stall is far from my electrical panel?
Not a problem at all. It just means a longer run of conduit and wire. We figure out the best route during our site visit and include everything in your quote. Ten feet or a hundred feet, we'll make it look clean.
Is the installation covered under warranty?
Yes. Our work is covered for life. The charger itself comes with a manufacturer warranty, usually 3 to 5 years, and we register it for you so it's active right away.
How much does townhouse EV charger installation cost?
Most townhouse installs come in between $800 and $1,800, depending on how far your stall is from the panel and which charger you go with. After our free site visit, you get a fixed price. What we quote is what you pay.
